Before drawing it, I wanted to understand it. A week of learning Mata ni Pacheri, a Kalamkari technique used by artisans of Gujarat. I dived into making colours, dyeing fabric, layering pigment, waiting, and listening to the stories behind the craft. The digital illustration came later, shaped by what my hands had already learnt.
